Pick your element: a houseplant leaf, tree bark on your street, a bowl of pebbles/soil, balcony breeze/sunlight, tap water over your hands.
Give it 30–60 seconds: touch or hold it, feel the texture or temperature, breathe slowly, and notice 3 details (cool/warm, rough/smooth, light/shade).
Make a cue: place a small natural object where you’ll see it (near kettle/desk) to cue tomorrow’s touch.
Open a window/balcony, touch a leaf or hold a smooth stone, and take 10 slow breaths.
Be respectful - don’t pluck from private gardens; avoid plants you don’t recognize or that can irritate skin (e.g., roadside weeds). Don’t touch or drink unsafe water. In shared spaces, keep it brief and considerate.
